For so long I've been one of those guitarists who would spend time setting up my equipment just to get a little time to practice or record. When I used tube amps and a pedalboard that meant trying to find a space and time not to annoy anyone with my loud playing. After awhile that got old and deterred me from wanting to plug in and play. Since going to a Kemper a few years back I've found myself playing a lot more because the ease of setup and portability.

Long story short, we moved into a new house that is relatively small, and have a baby who doesn't like to nap very much. So when I do have the time to play I need to have everything at hand, plugged in, and ready to go. This is where the idea came for a portable studio-style rig. It took awhile to find the right rolling desk that could fit in one of our closets and fit all my gear. The Kemper and HX Stomp are both plugged into my Macbook Pro via from their respective audio interfaces (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and the HX Stomp built in interface). All modelers are powered by my Furman power strip mounted in the back of the desk.
